Metroid Prime Trilogy
Finally, the best trilogy I've played is bundled together with new features and updated controls. The Metroid Prime Trilogy contains all three Metroid Prime games that Nintendo released on the Nintendo GameCube and Wii -
Metroid Prime Platform: Nintendo GameCube Release date: 2002 Players: 1 Story briefing: The peaceful planet of Tallon IV has been invaded by the Space Pirates who are eagerly investigating the planet's inhabitants, corrupting them with the mutagenic substance known as Phazon. Samus is dragged to Tallon IV by a distress call in the hopes of finding the source of the 'blue poison' which the Pirates are taking advantage of.
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Platform: Nintendo GameCube Release date: 2004 Players: 1-4 Story briefing: A war is raging on the planet Aether between dark and light, tearing the planet appart. Aether is split into 'dark' and 'light' worlds - the dark one inhabited by the Ing, mysterious creatures that crawled forth from a strange meteorite that struck the planet - and the light world is dominated by the wise Luminoth who are shaken by the incident. Samus is brought onto the scene to recover the planet's light that was taken by the Ing, and to destroy Aether's dark 'twin' by doing so. She'll have a bit of trouble dealing with Dark Samus, who appeared from almost nowhere. The Space Pirates are also lurking on the planet's surface, most probably looking for Phazon.
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Platform: Nintendo Wii Release date: 2007 Players: 1 Story briefing: Dark Samus has suddenly reappeared and has formed an alliance with the Space Pirates who have found the ultimate source of Phazon. A strange virus is corrupting the Galactic Federation's Aurora Units (advanced A.I. units used to monitor planets) as well as Samus and her allies. This is the last mission containing Phazon as the main problem.
Updated Features
New Play-Controls The main reason why all three games are being bundled together, Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2 will support the use of the Wii-mote and Nunchuck, much like Corruption's controls.
More Difficulty Options All three games have more intense modes or simplified modes, making the gameplay more varied.
Improved Graphics Although it doesn't seem possible, the graphics have been tweaked in each of the games.
New Case and Extras As shown by the image at the top, there's a shiny new look for the Trilogy. It also comes with a collector's edition metal case and art booklet (and if you preorder it from GameStop, you'll get a free T-shirt with the Trilogy design on it).
Trailer
I don't know if anyone else here plays the Metroid games, but I hope this sparks some interest for anyone who hasn't tried them. The Trilogy is being released in the US on August 24th, and September 4th in Europe. It's also being released at a fair price ($49.99 in US and £39.99 in Europe), considering it's 3 games in one with updates.
This looks really good! The only problem I have is that I get scared easily, because of the atmosphere of that game, I remember playing the first one for GC and that eerie music when the monsters would pop out.
I like how they made the box for it and how the whole Trilogy is on one disk.
I've played both "Metriod Prime" and "Metriod Prime 2 Echoes", sadly I havn't played "Metriod Prime 3 Corruption", I could of bought it but I wound up getting "The Conduit".
All three games in one? I'll have to look into it, I've been meaning to pick up at least one of the games. But the only thing is, like Ashlee said, I'm a scaredy cat. I hate when things pop out at me. ^^;
Very nice review. I never really liked Metroid Prime. But my father has been a Metroid fan for quite some time. So he saw these games, and bought them (Way back when, with the gamecube.). I would finish it before he did... Haha. I enjoyed the second one the most.
I know a glitch for "Metriod Prime 2 Echoes" it's where you do a Screw Attack right between a Morph Ball spot in the desert area it's fun to jump out of the level but don't go to Morph Ball mode or you'll just keep falling and falling, wants your way done it get's all glitchy and strange but cool.

Wow, haha. I love glitches and I'd really like to try this one out for sure. Thanks, Nick!
